About the event
The Italian Cultural Centre, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver, is proud to present Snakes & Rage: Myth in Opera, a captivating evening exploring the intersection of myth and music as part of the Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo (Week of the Italian Language in the World).
On Saturday, October 18, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, join baritone Aaron Durand and soprano Chloé Hurst as they guide the audience through the world of Italian opera — and beyond — unveiling the historical and cultural context behind each aria while performing its most powerful moments.
This unique concert is presented in dialogue with the exhibition Medusa – Archetypes in Contemporary Mythology at the Italian Cultural Centre Museum, offering a rich, immersive experience where music and mythology meet.
