We offer three levels of Beginner classes to best place you at the right proficiency. The updated textbook Nuovo Espresso PLUS 1 for Beginners is now available! The textbook can be purchased in-person and picked up at our front desk on weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm.
Starting Saturday 27th the special 24-hour program of BEGINNER 1 course will take place at the Italian Cultural Centre, from 12 PM!

No prior knowledge is needed.
Starting from the greetings, by the end of the course you will begin to understand easy language structures in an immersion classroom setting while learning to speak primarily in the present tense.
This course requires Nuovo Espresso PLUS 1 textbook:

Some prior knowledge of basic Italian is recommended for this course. You will add to your basic vocabulary in everyday situations involving bookings, transportation, directions and attractions while traveling in Italy.

At this level, learners will improve theirs understanding and competence in mastering easy language structures. You will also be introduced to past tense and learn to speak about events and facts that occurred in your life.
