Nuovo Espresso 2 is the textbook used for Intermediate 1, 2 & 3 level. You will get it during the first classes at Il Centro. If you are taking the online course, please come to pick it up at the School Office: Mon-Thu, from 8 AM to 4 PM.

At this level you are a fairly competent speaker of the Italian language.
However, you still need systematic correction in pronunciation, grammatical structures, and complex sentence formation by using learning the Imperfetto and Condizionale tenses.

Students will build on their knowledge of the Gerundio tense (Present Continuous form), and Imperative tense, while will improve knowledge regarding the Passato Prossimo (Past tense) to the Imperfetto (Imperfect tense). Reading and comprehension of Italian short stories will also be a focus.

For more advanced speakers, with competent knowledge of grammar rules. This course will focus on Future tense, Conditional and Hypothetical tense and new forms of irregular verbs. Reading and comprehension of Italian short stories will also be a focus.
