By the Light and Dark of the Moon:
The Tapestries of Ruth Jones
Ruth Jones is a tapestry weaver in the Aubusson, French tradition (1300-1700). Through this unique and highly refined skill, which often requires over a year of dedicated work to produce each tapestry, she explores how our society has lost touch with the cycles of the environment.
She demonstrates that if we honoured and lived by the natural ebb and flow of the world around us, we would exist in greater harmony with ourselves and each other.
